Der Ort erstreckt sich am Kiesleitenhang. Fl\u00e4chenm\u00e4\u00dfig war Stadln nach Prag die zweitgr\u00f6\u00dfte Siedlung B\u00f6hmens. Im Ort lebten mehr als 500 Bewohner in 40 H\u00e4usern. Stadln war ein typischer Flurort \u2013 von den H\u00e4usern weg verliefen schmale, durch Steinw\u00e4lle abgegrenzte Feld- und Wiesenstreifen. Bemerkenswert : in dieser Seeh\u00f6he wuchsen 184 Kirsch-, 10 Sauerkirsch-, 102 Apfel-, 23 Birn- und 12 Zwetschgenb\u00e4ume. Zum Ort geh\u00f6rten auch zwei M\u00fchlen und ein S\u00e4gewerk. Hier an der Kreuzung standen die Hl.Sebastian-Kapelle und daneben eine sechsklassige Schule. Der Balthashof, das Haus des Richters, war der gr\u00f6\u00dfte Bau. Wertvolles Inventar blieb im Museum des B\u00f6hmerwaldes in Ka\u0161persk\u00e9 Hory erhalten.
